— As Emohua Local Government Commences Construction Of Council Warehouse
“For where a man’s treasure is, there his heart will also be and always”. As it is written in the gospel according to St. Matthew 6:21, the same is precisely the case with Dr Chidi Lloyd, the executive chairman of Emohua local government council, who is known for routine supervision of the infrastructural projects being undertaken by his administration across the area, to enforce quality and timely implementation and delivery.
Dr Chidi Lloyd in what has become his culture and tradition, in demonstration of his untiring willingness and commitment to reposition Emohua LGA, on Monday embarked on an unscheduled tour of infrastructural projects being executed by his administration across the local government area, to ascertain the progress of work at the project sites and enforce compliance with the project specifications and stipulated delivery dates, ahead of the next phase of commissioning in the local government area.
Some of the projects inspected include the construction of the Uke-Eli road extension in Rundele community, the construction of Chief Nyesom Wike Drive in the Akpabu community, the Emohua local government administrative building at the council headquarters in Emohua, as well as the 350 capacity ICT Studio named after Chief Emeka Woke, also situated within the council secretariat complex.
Other projects inspected within the council secretariat complex include the ongoing reconstruction and remodelling of the Emohua Legislative Assembly Complex and the construction of an office complex for the Council Healthcare Center to provide offices for medical personnel and staff of the recently commissioned healthcare centre, as well as the ongoing construction of the cold chain for storage of vaccines and other temperature sensitive clinical tools.
Meanwhile, construction work has commenced in earnest at the proposed site for the construction of the Emohua local government warehouse conceptualized by the administration of Dr Chidi Lloyd.
The proposed warehouse is expected to upon completion serve as the local government’s multipurpose storage facility, to properly preserve civil and mechanical engineering types of equipment, agricultural types of machinery, building materials and other valuables owned by the local government.
Dr Lloyd during the project tour reiterated his administration’s commitment to the transformation of the local government council secretariat complex, as well as the overall development of the local government area with the slim resources available to the council.
